Our club is celebrating 47 years supporting local talent and businesses
A few words about us
The Narellan Jets Rugby League Football Club has a rich history dating back to 1977, serving as a longstanding part of the Narellan and broader Macarthur area rugby league community. Based at the Narellan Sports Ground, the club is a prominent competitor in the Macarthur District Rugby League, playing in leagues organised by the Wests Group Macarthur. The Jets field teams across various levels, from junior squads to senior grades, fostering talent development and community involvement at all levels.
The club is known for its community spirit, often holding events such as Old Boys’ Nights and participating in special rounds like the Anzac Day memorial matches. The Jets are supported by a range of local sponsors and regularly engage with local businesses and fans through events, fundraisers, and games that bring the community together. The club has historically faced challenges typical for semi-professional teams, such as player retention and funding, but remains resilient and committed to growth and competition in their league.
The 2024 season saw the Jets compete in multiple grades, including First and Reserve Grades, as part of the Macarthur District Rugby League premiership. They face regular challenges against rivals such as Campbelltown Collegians and Oakdale Workers, maintaining competitive spirit and resilience even in tough matches

Our Values in depth
Community Engagement
The Jets are dedicated to creating a strong community spirit. They actively engage with local supporters, host community events, and involve local businesses as sponsors and partners. This emphasis fosters a close-knit environment where both players and fans feel a sense of belonging and pride in their club.
Sportsmanship
Integrity and respect are central values within the Jets™ approach to competition. The club encourages players to embody fairness, respect for opponents, and a positive attitude on and off the field, regardless of the outcome. This focus is apparent in their organised events, such as the Anzac Day rounds, where they show respect for broader cultural values while promoting the spirit of the game.
Resilience & Perseverance
Competing in the Macarthur District Rugby League, the Jets often face tough matches against rival teams. They focus on resilience, working to overcome challenges like fitness issues and game fatigue. This resilience shapes their training and game strategies, allowing them to stay competitive despite adversity
Youth & Player Development
The Jets prioritise developing players from a young age, supporting juniors through to senior levels. This commitment helps cultivate local talent and encourages players to reach their potential within a supportive club environment. Youth development is seen as essential not only for athletic success but also for instilling core life values in players
